Irene and Andrew Brooks have been utilising organic practices and providing incredible produce to local farmer’s markets for years. But with markets taking a hiatus during 2020, Irene and Andrew decided to reduce food miles even further, and now have a beautiful farm gate stall on their property in Trentham East. 

Seasonal produce includes apples, chestnuts, a large variety of berries, rhubarb, and many more fruits, as well as incredible white and green asparagus, saffron and additional seasonal vegetables and herbs.  

Irene’s philosophy is simple, “Grow it, cook it, eat it”, and Home Grown and Hand Made do grow and hand make incredible produce! All produce grown at their property in Trentham East is sold right there, zero food miles, and any remaining produce then takes on a new form of deliciousness in the way of fresh pestos, curds, jams, chutneys and sauces. There are even infused vinegars. During spring and summer, food plants are available to purchase and flowers can be cut to order. 

This farm gate stall is a picture of lots of hard work, lots of love, and delivers beautiful fresh, seasonal and sustainable food as well as food products made by hand for those lucky enough to venture out and visit their property.
