Crossies 'Cados is a boutique avocado orchard based on a fourth generation farm in Torrumbarry, right on the Murray River. Avocados are available from local farmers’ markets.

With the seemingly never-ending demand for avocados, fourth generation avocado growers Andrew and Sarah Crossman are definitely kept very busy! Crossies ‘Cados sells at numerous famers markets in the region, such as Woodend, Castlemaine, Echuca, Lancefield, and Bendigo. They also supply produce to local restaurants and cafes in the Echuca area as well as wholesale to Melbourne-based markets and distributors. And if that wasn’t enough to kept them busy, you can also purchase directly from the orchard at their farm gate.  

Andrew says that avocadoes have become so popular in recent times, and for good reason, but a challenge he has as a grower is the demand for the perfectly ripe avocado. Luckily, Crossies ‘Cados does grow over 10 varieties of beautiful avocados on their farm in Torrumbarry on the Murray River. These include Reed, Hass and Wurtz avocadoes, avocado aficionados will know be in the know for which avocado is what! They also grow citrus including lemons, limes, mandarins, oranges as well as pumpkins, zucchini and incredibly beautiful zucchini flowers.
