Come truffle hunting in the Victorian Goldfields.

Be charmed by our truffle dogs as they lead you on a magical journey hunting for the elusive black winter truffle, then sample delicious truffle tastings in our Cafe.

During the truffle season – from June to August – our beautiful black Perigord truffles, or Tuber melanosporum, are ready to harvest from the root system of 1,000 English and French oaks in our truffiere. 

Their careful extraction can only be done with the help of our truffle dogs which have been specially trained to find the truffles below the surface.

We invite you to join us for a two and a half hour “Truffle Hunt and Taste of Truffles Experience” where we will offer you the following:
- morning tea on arrival
- an introductory and informative talk about the fascinating science, art and magic of truffle farming
- a hunt in our truffiere with our canine friends to find and harvest truffles
- return to our cosy Cafe for a glass of bubbles and a degustation menu comprising small tasting dishes including a creamy French cheese with truffles, soup, pasta and an indulgent dessert .. all with generous gratings or shavings of truffles!

Our “Hunts & Taste of Truffle Experiences” run from 10 am to 12.30 every Saturday and Sunday during the season.
