VOTER AWARD
The EDGY VEG AWARDS are a celebration of local food innovation, mouthwatering regional flavours, and sharing meals that give back to the planet.
Organised by Veg Action of the Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group, the Awards are designed to support local cafes and pubs to create new and exciting plant-based dishes to showcase just how fabulous eating more veg, more often can be!
Cafes are asked to nominate one or more plant-based dishes to be showcased during the Autumn Festival (1st-30th April 2023). New and existing customers of all dietary persuasion are encouraged to try the dish(es) and score them. Votes go in the draw to win a prize.
PRIZE 1
MOST DELICIOUS PLANT BASED DISH IN THE RANGES (customer vote)
Anyone who tries the dish can score it online out of 5 stars and leave a comment. Voters can vote only once on their dish. Scores remain hidden; comment are used to market the dish. At the end of the competition, the winning dish is announced along with the dishes’ score.
Dishes need to have a minimum of 20 votes to qualify for the prize.
The scores of each dish are calculated with reference to the number of votes received by the dish.
The highest scoring dish will win the MOST DELICIOUS PLANT BASED DISH Award of $500 and heaps of marketing!
The decision of the judges is final and no discussion will be entered into.
PRIZE 2
VENUE WITH THE EDGIEST VEG (committee vote)
This award tries to capture overall effort of venues involved in the Awards - including the number of dishes offered, publicity and promotion efforts, number of votes, and quality of dishes.
The Edgy Veg Committee is responsible for selecting the winning venue for this prize. The Prize is for the Venue with the Edgiest Veg. The Prize is $500 + promotion of the prize winning cafe.
The decision of the committee is final and no discussion will be entered into.
